For decades, the design of bearing seals for slurry sump pumps has remained unchanged. However, traditional designs running with a labyrinth and piston rings, require frequent maintenance with high amounts of grease and are susceptible to water damage.

Enter TropiSeal, the solution designed for (as the name suggests) tropical climates where heavy rainfall can cause sump pumps to become saturated or even submerged. Its twin lip-seal system is even able to withstand periods of submersion and provides improved performance, even in areas where submersion isn't a concern. With TropiSeal, you can effectively seal out moisture and contaminants with less grease usage, ensuring optimal sump pump performance.

All KETO sump pumps now come with lip seals on all bearing seals. The K-GS was designed with lip seals and the K-VS has now been upgraded to TropiSeal as standard across the range. KETO also makes an upgrade kit for Weir SP or SPR sump pumps.
